Simply put them in the freezer overnight. Within 30 minutes of taking them out, they start emitting a temperature of above zero degrees and lasts below 8 degrees for up to 72 hours.

Temperature control tests results show rate of rise from 0.22 < 0.35 C/h, varied by bag size and number of gel packs used. All tests are conducted by an independent refrigeration testing facility.
