VernaGel is a dry granule with rapid absorption properties which solidifies bodily fluids and other medical waste. A VernaGel sachet (7g) can absorb up to 1.2L within seconds of contact with a liquid substance. For best practice, VernaGel sachets are recommended for use alongside pulp, ostomy bags, and sharps residues. Once solidified, healthcare workers can transport human waste with a reduced risk of spillage and cross-contamination. The semi-solid gel can be disposed of in a macerator toilet or slop hopper and requires little to no training. Due to its non-toxic characteristics, VernaGel is classified as compostable and an environmentally sustainable substance.
